Free internet for students during COVID-19
When schools went online, many families couldn't afford the data. With the Government of Indonesia, we delivered more than 10 million free internet packages.
The problem
In 2020, Indonesian schools and universities moved online. For many families, mobile data became the cost of going to school.
Smartfren joined the government's free data program. The challenge was getting the right package to the right number, fast, across the country.

I worked with the Government of Indonesia on who should get a package and how it would reach them.

Run it like a lifecycle program
Right package, right number, right time. Same method as our commercial offers, but the goal was access, not revenue.
What happened
We delivered more than 10 million free internet packages across Indonesia during COVID-19. It's the work I'm proudest of.
